- The park monitor needs a live 12V feed. Many cars cut power to the socket with the ignition. Check yours, or the park monitor will never run.

- Format the microSD card in the camera every few weeks - loop recording is hard on cards.
- Use a Class 10 card of 32GB or less. Cheap slow cards drop frames.
- Clean the lens and the windshield in front of it - a smeared windshield ruins the footage that matters.
- Check that your G-sensor-locked files are being saved after any incident.
- Mount it where it does not obstruct your view of the road, and check your local laws on windshield mounting.
Recording laws vary by state and country, including laws on recording audio of passengers. Check the rules that apply where you drive before enabling in-cabin audio recording.
