Excellent Electric Griddle/Grill
I love my new MegaChef grill/griddle product. I have my own garden and love grilling my Japanese eggplant and banana peppers. As you can see from my photos, the grill puts on those nice charred lines. I grilled outside to eliminate smoke in the house. Burnt food will smoke. The griddle was used indoors to make bacon and omelets and it worked fantastic! I sautéed my onions and peppers after cooking the bacon, yes, they were sautéed in the delicious bacon grease, and I lowered the heat to cook the omelet. It tasted like it was cooked in a restaurant and that's hard to do at home. I bought this to replace an old Wolfgang Puck electric grill/griddle as the griddle side started pitting and falling apart. The complaint about this MegaChef grill/griddle is that it was kinda difficult to clean, especially the grill side. The griddle side was easy to clean. I saw complaints about the glass cover, but it easily removes, so I don't use it. I only place it on after I'm done cooking. In summary, I love this product and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a dual electric griddle/grill.

Lasted over 2 years - just bought another...
I purchased this originally over 2 years ago. We used it quite regularly for burgers, bacon, fish, chicken, etc. When I plugged it in to use it today, it tripped the breaker on my kitchen outlet on two different outlets, so we figure there is a short in the wiring somewhere and it's going in the trash. However, I liked it well enough that I ordered the exact same one to replace it. I love that it is reversible and can be used flat or with the grill grooves. I love that it has a lid - especially when cooking things that tend to splatter. My only small complaints are that is somewhat difficult to clean, especially the grill side with all of the grooves. It's a 3 part process - the lid (if used), the grill plate and then the drip pan underneath. Depending on what was cooked, it can be a lengthy process. It is also quite heavy and bulky, but I guess that's to be expected. Overall, a great investment.
