I ordered this product to use at a Tea Party I will be hosting. I filled it and timed the length to heat the water. It took 10 minutes. It should come in handy during the Tea.

It is large, which is what I wanted. I make about 4 liters of teas in the morning for the day. This tea pot is simple, attractive. The cord is very short but I can live with it. It rocks a little bit on it's base but not a problem. Just something I noticed. It was a little more expensive than some of the others. If it lasts, it will be worth it. My last kettle lasted a couple of years. No fancy functions just an on switch with auto shut off when it reaches a boil.

The Brentwood 2 - Liter Stainless Steel Tea Kettle Model KT-1800 is a handy appliance that will help you forget about a teapot for your stovetop. It occupies little space and gets the water boiling at a pretty good pace. That's a key point, as it's not as fast as I had hoped for, based on experience in China where hotels and most homes have blazing fast electric kettles. The Chinese models are not wired for use to USA standards (I don't like to use convertors for active appliances) so I thought to try the Brentwood 2, as they are similar in size. Hmmm, only a B+ on speed compared to the overseas models but as good as we can get for this price on our shores! Since we do not have room in the kitchen or dining area for a samovar, the Brentwood 2 is a good value. ;)

I spent two weeks with my daughter who had an electric kettle, and fell in love with the convenience of it, as well as the speed with which her kettle produced boiling water--I do love my morning cappucino and evening tea. So I decided to buy one like hers, but her model isn't available any more, and I found this one and purchased it primarily for the price, but also because I like how it looks. Got it this week, and it is sitting on my counter being used two, three, or four times a day. I LOVE it, and would recommend this particular brand and model to anyone who wants an electric kettle. It's good looking and does exactly what I want it to do--boil water for my tea! Great product.

I've had the tea kettle for a month so far and like it. It's easy to pour and the handle is a good size. I also love how the on switch is on top, I have had leakage in other tea kettles around the on switch on the bottom. My only problem with it is that the picture is slightly misleading. All of the Brentwood tea kettles are photographed in a way that there is a black strip on the side. I had thought this was a decorative strip of black plastic, and it was my favorite feature of the kettle, however the black is just a shadow on the steel. I'm happy enough with the kettle, so it's not a problem, but heads up if you want the kettle for the design, or if you don't like it because of the design. Apart from the base, the lid and the handle, it's all steel.
