Brentwood's RJB-100PK puts a glass jar on a portable blender, which almost nobody does. Plastic personal blenders scratch, cloud, hold onto yesterday's garlic and eventually taste of themselves. Glass does none of that. It charges over USB, blends about ten drinks between charges, spins at 16,000 RPM through an eight-leaf stainless blade, and runs at 42 dB - quiet enough for a hotel room at six in the morning. Can it crush ice?
Treat it as a soft-ingredient blender. Add your liquid first and use fresh or thawed fruit. At 50 watts it makes an excellent smoothie and it is not built to pulverise ice cubes.
Is the jar really glass?
