Plastic fans crack and rattle. The Vie Air VA-12 is built almost entirely of metal, from the housing to the blades, so it stands up to a garage, workshop, or busy room. Three speeds and an adjustable tilt head let you point strong airflow exactly where the heat is.
Here is what to know before it arrives:
Q: Does this fan oscillate?
A: No. The head tilts up and down so you can aim the airflow, but it does not swivel side to side.
Q: Is it really all metal?
A: Yes. The housing, grille, and blades are metal, which is what makes it hold up to heavy-duty use far better than a plastic fan.
Q: How big are the blades?
A: The blade span is about 10 inches inside a 12-inch grille, so it delivers a focused, strong stream of air.
Q: Does it need assembly?
A: No. It arrives fully assembled and ready to plug in.
Vie Air specializes in air-moving appliances, from personal heaters to industrial-grade floor and drum fans. The VA-12 brings that heavy-duty, all-metal approach down to a compact size you can put anywhere.

Garages, workshops, and warm kitchens are hard on fans. An all-metal build means the housing and blades keep working season after season instead of splitting and rattling like a bargain plastic unit.
The tilt head points a strong stream of air right at your workbench, chair, or the hottest corner of the room, so you feel the cooling instead of sending it at the ceiling.
It shows up fully assembled and UL Listed, so there is nothing to build. Put it on the floor, plug it into a grounded outlet, and pick a speed.
Built like a tool, sized for anywhere.
Metal housing, grille, and blades shrug off knocks and heat that would crack, warp, or rattle a typical plastic fan over a hot summer.
A metal blade moves a strong, directed stream of air, and the tilt head aims it precisely at a workbench or seat instead of scattering it.
It arrives fully assembled and UL Listed, so you plug it in and go rather than fighting with clip-on plastic parts.

Works well but somewhat noisy
Seems to work well, but somewhat noisy, at least compared to a smaller fan. Besides the expected whoosh, it has an ever changing sound like the whirring of the blades of a prop plane before it takes off. Of course, it's not that loud, but the sound is similar. It's in my bedroom and I haven't tried sleeping with it yet, but maybe I'll get used to it. I may fall asleep dreaming of dueling in the sky with the Red Baron! Me and Snoopy!
Great fan for the value!!
Blows great!!! Great value!! Love it!!¡!
Very powerful fan
This fan is way more powerful than I was expecting! I have a pet bunny so it's important to keep my room cool for her. It's on the noisey side but I have roommates so the sound of the fan blocks the sound of my TV so that's a good thing. I also like the sound of it to fall asleep. I'm glad I bought it
Throws cold air.
Its small but packs a punch. Really throws cold air. Don't sleep on it. I dont write reviews but I got to admit it's a good one. I have a big room and it throws alot of cold air :)
At this price, don't buy anything else, especially not something with plastic blades
This fan is replacing a 4 year old 12" Honeywell plastic fan that I thought did a good job. That is until I bought this Vie Air. The metal blades in this fan make all the difference. The air output is wildly higher than any of the plastic-bladed fans that I have in the house. This fan pushes more air on low than any of my plastic fans do on high. The plastic - metal thing isn't super surprising to me. What is surprising, is the cost. A similar 12" plastic fan is about the same price as this and moves half the air. I can't think of a single reason why anyone would choose the plastic fan over a metal fan. And at this price point, the Vie Air was a great buy and exceeds expectations.

CurbGo hunts for the well-made version of everyday things and skips the markup. A floor fan should be built to survive a garage, not the recycling bin. The Vie Air VA-12's all-metal construction is exactly the kind of quiet over-build we look for.
