End the soggy-middle waffle
Batter that pools on one side cooks unevenly and collapses under syrup. The 180-degree flip mechanism coats both plates the moment you rotate, so every 5-inch Belgian waffle comes out evenly browned.

The flip is the trick the waffle houses use, and the MegaChef MC-B046 brings it home. Pour batter, rotate the iron 180 degrees, and gravity spreads it across both nonstick plates for a 5-inch Belgian waffle with deep pockets and even color on both sides. At 2.5 pounds in a glossy red cool-touch shell, it lives happily in a drawer between weekend breakfasts.
Waffle maker.
How many waffles does it make at once?
One 5-inch round Belgian waffle per batch. It is a single-serve iron, so plan on baking in rounds for a crowd.
Can I adjust the browning?
It has one heat setting; timing controls doneness. Pull the waffle early for soft and golden, or leave it longer for a deep, crisp brown.
Why does it flip?
Rotating the iron 180 degrees right after pouring spreads the batter over both plates, the same technique commercial Belgian waffle makers use for even thickness and color.
Are the plates removable?
No, the plates are fixed. Let the iron cool completely, then wipe them clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
Is there a warranty?
Yes, MegaChef backs it with a 90-day limited warranty.
Preheat the closed iron until the ready light signals the plates are hot. Pour batter onto the lower plate, close the lid, and flip 180 degrees right away so the batter coats both sides. Bake to your preferred color, using time as your browning control. Unplug after use, let the iron cool fully, and wipe the fixed nonstick plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Never immerse the unit in water, and skip metal utensils that could scratch the coating.
MegaChef makes the fun corners of the kitchen affordable, from waffle makers and panini presses to kettles and popcorn poppers. Guessing when the iron is hot ruins the first waffle every time. The ready light signals when plates reach temperature, and with one consistent heat setting your timing alone controls exactly how dark each waffle gets.
Scrubbing crusted batter out of plate grooves kills the waffle habit fast. Nonstick coated aluminum plates release waffles cleanly, and a quick pass with a damp cloth has the iron ready to stow.
Commercial-style technique in a drawer-size iron.
Family-size irons hog cabinet space for the two mornings a month they get used. This 2.5-pound flip maker stores in a drawer and turns out single Belgian waffles on demand.
Pour batter into a stationary iron and it settles unevenly, leaving pale tops. The 180-degree flip motion spreads batter across both plates for waffles browned evenly on each side.
Toaster waffles trade flavor for convenience. Fresh batter in this nonstick 5-inch iron delivers deep Belgian pockets that hold syrup and butter, with a ready light telling you when to pour.

Love
I can't wait to use it. So cute
Tricks on cooking in this waffle maker.
Ok patience is a must. Just got it today, and the second side was not as browned or uneven so I realized that there's a trick. In order to get the second side to brown even jiggle the handle after you flip it so the batter can hit the other side. We also loosened the cooked side before we flipped it. When you pour the batter make sure your batter completlely covers the bottom. There's an art to this machine. It's not as fast as the tiny non flips, but when perfected. OMGooodness it is delicious
Size is great
Makes the cutest thick waffles. Be sure to fill full for a beautiful waffle. 2 min each side does the trick. Horizontal storage is great too.
