Our first purchase of the megachef try was not successful. I contacted the company and received a new product! Right now, we are very satisfied and it has been working fine!!

This is absolute perfect! It's big enough to hold several pots and a skillet. Gets very hot, which is great. And actually is pretty just sitting on the countertop.

Very nice warming tray, good size. Like that it has adjustable temperatuare control.

These warming trays were great and kept our food warm for our party.

It works perfectly! The food quickly heated up without mess or melting anything. The entire top does get hot so beware when grabbing it to adjust. Used it for a baby shower and it warmed up a large aluminum foil pan of mac and cheese in 20 mins. Perfect for gatherings and early set up. Easy to put away.

What I really like about this warming tray is the simplicity of operation; just plug it in, turn the dial and you’re ready to go. The tray is easy to clean, very attractive, and large enough to accommodate several dishes. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I ordered this for a Christmas buffet and needed something large enough to hold two casserole dishes. I tried the warming tray by MegaChef, and it will work well. I am very pleased. I did have to return the first one that I received, but the replacement arrived very quickly. Of course, I haven't used it long yet, but if it holds up, it will be a great bargain! It's only drawback is that the line indicating where you have it set is a little hard to read, but still, for the price, it's remarkable.

Nice surface area. Had 2 9 x 13 and larger foil pan sitting atop the glass top. It gets quite hot, keeping dishes warm. Has little feet to keep up off the counter. I placed on a wooden cutting board to prevent heat damage to quartz counter just in case and it worked well. Save the storage box to protect the glass top.

I bought this on a whim for my son's birthday party. We had food we needed to keep warm so I decided to try it. We had one 9x13 glass dish on it and it moved around a little bit when trying to scoop out the food so I'll probably try putting a silicone mat under it for some grip. This is no fault of the product itself though - just mentioning it for future users. It worked so well that we had multiple people asking us where we got this product. We were asked to bring it to another party for someone else and we had two 9x13 dishes on it and the food stayed warm the whole time. It's lightweight, easy to clean and bring along, I would 100% recommend. * I think I read in the comments somewhere that there was a smell the first time they used it. Once I opened the product, I plugged it in and turned it on max temperature for a few minutes just to "burn off" any smell. It did had a very light chemical/burn smell at first, but nothing crazy (and I'm super sensitive to smells). After that initial use, I haven't smelled anything from it at all.

I use this item to heat food for Shabbat. Placed on my stove, it covers two elements (lengthwise). The first time we used it, the temperature setting was at maximum. It kept our soup very hot, and no food burned, for which we were very pleased; that was one of our goals. Note that at this setting, the hotplate should not be touched due to burn risks. There is a light that turns on and then when up to heat, turns off; the next week, to continue testing, we set it so that the light turned on just above the minimum setting - turns out it stays cold at that setting :). At this point, I would say to keep it at least at the midpoint level if not near/at maximum. I believe this purchase is a success! There is an option to extended the automatic 90 day warranty to 1 year, which is really nice also.

This thing is seriously AMAZING! I catered a wedding and needed to keep four 9×13 trays of food hot, this kept the food piping warm till serving time (over an hour, and im sure it would as long as you need it to). I was able to fit all 4 trays on this one warmer and it was powerful enough to keep all of them hot evenly. I would reccomend keeping them covered with aluminum foil to help retain the heat in the dishes to acheive the warmth you are intending untill just before serving time, then the lids can be removed of course and will still keep things warm for anyone who wants to come back for seconds. Super easy to wipe down at the end from anything spilled on it as well. I love love love this! Will be perfect for keeping side dishes hot at thanksgiving as well!

Great Option For Shabbat Observers I purchased this warming tray to help keep my meals warm during the Shabbat and special holiday periods when I am limited in the way that I can utilize many of the standard appliances in my kitchen. I researched quite a few different manufacturers and their models of electric warming trays, before I selected the MegaChef. I chose this warming tray mainly because of the straightforward temperature settings, the safety features that prevent overheating, and the overall size of the unit (which can accommodate several dishes/pots at one time). Out of the box, you can tell this warming tray is very sleek and modern in design, but this unit is also solidly constructed overall. Moreover, I love how the silver and black design perfectly meshes with the stainless steel layout of my kitchen. In terms of functionality, the unit heats up pretty quickly and it does an excellent job of properly distributing heat throughout the surface area. Lastly, I operated this warming tray exclusively on the stone/marble counter-top in my kitchen. Depending on your preferred temperature settings, this tray can become exceptionally hot, so I personally never felt comfortable using it on any wood or plastic surfaces, especially if you intend to leave the tray unattended. Just food for thought. All and all, I am extremely happy with this warming tray, and I would candidly recommend it to others.
