• 'Smokeless' means LESS smoke, not zero: There is no fan and no vent on this unit. It is an open grill that drains fat away, which dramatically reduces smoke - but a hot steak on a hot surface will still produce some. Expect far less smoke than a grill pan, not a literally smoke-free kitchen.
• The temperature probe must be removed before cleaning: The unit cannot be immersed with the control probe attached.
