I purchased this clock over a month ago just to see how it worked. It’s great, I would definitely recommend. The sound is beautiful and the feature it doesn’t chime when you are sleeping is also nice.

For the price...this Clock...Functions very well...We like the hourly tones.

The clock is beautiful and worked perfectly right out of the box. It took a little time to set it to if it is AM or PM but it is worth setting. The chime is mire electronic sounding than I expected for a clock in 2021. It still chimes nice and does the count for the hourbif you set it to do that. The settings for this clock are plentiful! I like having the volume options and digging options that are available. I find it hard to read. With the good and white face the hands really needed to be a dark and bold black for easy reading. My husband feels it is fine to read so I guess it depends on the person. All in all it is a good clock for the money and is something I would purchase again. Thanks Sheila

We replaced a windup clock similar o the Bedford that we have had for over 40 years. The Bedford is an excellent replacement and we especially like the ability to choose the Chime and Volume settings. We highly recommend the Bedford clock.

Wonderful clock with chimes. This is similar to a Daniel Dakota model circa 1980s-1990s. Rich sound and adjustable volume ( which the Daniel Dakota model did not have ). Don't get me wrong. Is it a top notch clock normally valued at a couple hundred dollars? I don't think so. However, it will make a nice inexpensive addition to one's decor and gives an antique air with the hourly chimes. One person complained of the difficulty in syncing the chimes with the hour. It's not difficult. Follow the directions using the chime button setting and it's easy peasey.

I bought this for my 88-year-old mom. She wanted a chiming clock so she would periodically be reminded of the time without having to look at the clock. She liked the clock but we couldn't set it to chime 24hrs each day. It is set to be quiet in the night, and that can't be disabled. Since she wants it to chime around the clock, we had to send it back and order a different clock. As I said, other than that one issue, she was quite happy with it. So, if you DON'T want it to chime in the middle of the night, it's perfect.

It's very pretty and you can read it pretty well from across the room. The volume stays fairly loud, doesn't bother me because I like that I can hear it from the next room. It doesn't chime between 9 pm and 6 am anyway. It is tricky to set at first because the diagram that comes with it is sideways and backwards, but if you just try out the different settings you'll get the one you want. I have it set to play the Westminster tune then chime the hour. After you set the correct time, you just keep pressing the red button until the chimes match the hour.

This Clock is very pretty. it came with a small blemish on the top left corner that I can over look, too much of a hassle to send back. I would suggest packaging with bubble wrap to protect the finish.

I wanted a good looking antique style mantel clock and the Bedford clock fits the bill. I did not need chimes but this clock has several chime options if you want them. Due to the intricate design clock face it is tough to see the time at a distance but for my application it's not a deal breaker. It keeps accurate time.

I love the look and music/chime features of this clock and it keeps good time. Batteries were easy to install and music and volume settings were easy to adjust. Setting the time was more challenging as the instruction manual said to use the dial on the back of the clock but that didn't seem to coincide with the chimes. For example, I had the time set for 4pm but the chimes chimed 9 times for 9pm so I turned the time forward to 9pm using the dial but then the chimes chimed for 2am. I had to manually move the hour and minute hand forward/backward to get the chime time to adjust with the actual clock time. Then once I got it set, I switched to a different chime mode and the time was wrong again. Seems like it doesn't keep the time between the different time modes, hence the 4 star review instead of 5. It took me 20 minutes to get the clock time set correctly but now that it is set, it is working great!

Nice clock for the price. I wish the volume could be turned down another notch. When placed in a small room even with the volume turned all the way down the chimes are still pretty loud for the space.

This clock is beautiful and elegant. I love that I'm able to select the chime and volume of the chime I desire. The chime is melodious and at just the perfect volume. I love this clock.
