Pleased with quality for price. Slught defect with gold string in bottom glass and I had to synchronize the minute hand with chime switch. Not a difficult task, but I understand why some people complained, if they have never done it and it is not covered in instructions.

A truly beautiful clock. More like a pice of art to hang! I love it already!

The clock was a birthday present for my wife, she loved it .

use fresh batteries! After about three months, the pendulum stop swinging. I replaced the batteries with semi had on hand. The pendulum worked, but it wouldn’t keep time. And then obtained brand new batteries and The pendulum is working now and it is keeping good time again. When it arrived, putting fresh batteries into it made it chime 6 O’clock. so I set the clock to 6 o’clock and put the batteries in it at 6 o’clock and everything synced up. Nothing I did made it understand am-pm cycles. so I turn the volume down on the chime so that it wouldn’t disturb sleep. the chimes emulate a grandfather clock. it does have four chime modes. We picked just chime on the hour. Which it does chime bit slow like a grandfather clock. I wish it would chime on the half hour. Seems to be working good.

Clock is on the wall and running smoothly. The new clock matches our new flooring recently installed. The clock is pretty and seems to be well made.

The only problem with this is that it was difficult to put batteries where they were meant to be but I fixed that by finishing up their screwing in the screws holding the compartment for batteries.

Esthetically finished wall-hanging clock, that plays bell sounds during a day, and stays quiet overnight. It's one of those things that adds a special character to my home. Unlike those expensive mechanical clocks, this one is set and forget, at least until a battery replacement is needed. Setting of hourly bell is easy; manually adjust the hour and minutes to the actual time. Than wait until a minute arm hits the 12 o'clock number. Than press the set button as many times, as the current hour time is at the moment. You can set the clock to stay quiet overnight. But if it continues to ring, advance the time by 12 hours forward to make sure that the clock's day and night times are synchronized with the actual. I bought the lightly finished clock. But I wish, it was just a little darker. It cannot be stained or repainted, not easily as it is varnished with a polyurethane clear paint. Overall, a great addition to my home.

The clock is beautiful except for the damage shown in the attached photos. The box it came in had several holes in it. It does keep accurate time and I was able to adjust the chimes to work properly. I this this model is the prettiest one out of the available selection.

We purchased this as a gift for my mother and she loves it! Very well made and sturdy. The packaging could have been a little more secure though. Instructions were a little unclear on getting the chimes to coincide with the correct hour, however, customer service was awesome! Love the clock and all of the extra features!!

I am very pleased with this clock. Unlike many of the other less expensive clocks I considered, this one is made with real wood, and is not a faux wood finish. It works beautifully, the chimes are perfect, and it is an elegant and useful accent in my formal dining room. It was well worth the extra $$.

The clock is very nice clock and every thing in the add was correct. The only thing my wife and I wish was that it chimed at the half hour and that we could change the tone of the chime. Our old clock had a sharper tone to the chime this one is a little dull but I guess will learn to live with it.

Bedford Clock Collection Classic Chiming Wall Clock with Swinging Pendulum, Golden Oak..Arrived on time and well packaged for travel....however I deducted one star because the top hinge on the door was completely trashed. No fault of the seller or the postal handlers, the hinge was badly aligned with the clock body and the screws that held it to the body were at an angle and split out the side of the clock, two big chips were separated from the body as the screws exited,....any quality control person should have caught this immediately ...I chose not to send it back as I can fix a lot of things including building up the broken area and thanks to JB Weld wood epoxy the screws are now anchored in a firm manner ...BUT I shouldn't have had to do this, a buyer expects the product to be well assembled ready to use. This was a gift but thank goodness I had the chance to fix a very serious problem before handing it off. The clock is beautiful and runs well despite its rough beginning. There were no instructions as how to get it to chime on the correct hour...but YouTube is full of advice and I was able to get it corrected. My advice to the manufacturer is to upgrade 'quality check' and also furnish better instructions. A beautiful clock like this deserves a much better production service. Thanks to the seller for quick service.
